Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support)

Employment Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week

Schedule: 3-4 days per week, Monday-Thursday, between 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM with additional flexibility for date nights.

Compensation: $32-$36 per hour

We are a warm and dynamic family of four living in Yorba Linda, CA. Both parents lead busy and demanding professional lives. Dad works away from home Monday through Friday, while Mom works from her nearby practice. We are a close-knit family with a deep respect for balance.

Our twin 12-year-old boys have distinct personalities that make them both unique and endearing. They enjoy a range of activities, from video games and golf to piano lessons. They are bright, independent, and transitioning into more responsibilities while still needing guidance and structure from a trusted adult figure.

With both parents working full-time, we often find it challenging to keep up with day-to-day tasks. One area where we feel the greatest need is in meal support. The mental load of dinner can be a challenge after a long day of work, so we are eager to have support in this area. We want someone who can help make that a reality by assisting with meal prep, grocery shopping, and kitchen organization. Our boys tend to be picky eaters, so their meals are fairly simple. For the adults, we occasionally use a meal service kit with easy-to-follow recipes. We're not looking for a five-star chef, but rather someone who enjoys being in the kitchen and is comfortable preparing home-cooked meals.

We appreciate order, cleanliness, and consistency, and we're seeking someone who can help us maintain that balance in a way that fits naturally into our family dynamic.

You are a stable, reliable, and detail-oriented individual who takes personal pride in creating a tidy, well-organized home. You are proactive and capable of anticipating needs, with a natural ability to take initiative. You understand how to set boundaries with kids while fostering a warm, respectful relationship. You have a solid grasp of all household tasks, with a high level of comfort in meal preparation, laundry, and daily upkeep of the home. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys being in the kitchen, can handle meal prep with ease, and you are comfortable following recipes. You are open to constructive feedback and thrive in a role where you can have a meaningful, positive impact on a family's daily life.

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and self-sufficient individual who values long-term relationships and is committed to becoming an integral part of our family. • Batch prep breakfasts (5 days a week).
• Dinner 3-4 days a week. The preparation will depend on the meal and timing. Sometimes the meal will be prepped in advance, and other times it will need to be fully cooked and ready to eat.
• Prepare healthy after school snacks.
• Follow recipes for meal services kits like Gobble.
• Grocery shopping for all meals.
• Kitchen clean-up and maintenance.

• Wash, fold, and organize laundry.
• Ironing/steaming and special garment care.
• Maintain tidy, well-stocked laundry areas.

• School pickups/drop-offs within a 15-20 minute radius. Family vehicle available for transporting children.
• Provide light after school supervision.
• Provide occasional back-up childcare for date nights.

Household Organization & Maintenance

• Daily resets and prep home for cleaners.
• Light tidying daily (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas).
• Maintain seasonal swaps (clothing, decor, bedding).
• Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs.
• Packing and unpacking for travel - kids only
• Manage household organization systems.

• Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies.
• Manage household supply lists and subscriptions (e.g., Amazon, Costco, Target).
• Handle returns

• Fueling, cleaning, and organizing family vehicles.

• Occasional deep cleaning of fridge, oven, and baseboards.
• Organizational projects.
• Manage outdoor spaces seasonally.
• Refresh garage, mudroom, entry.
• Clean humidifiers/air purifiers.

• Calendar management
• Potential future administrative support for projects at Mom's practice.
