Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Endoscope Processing Technician for our Endoscopy Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As an Endoscope Processing Technician, you will:
• Handle, clean, and disinfect various types and sizes of endoscopes to include manually cleaning and performing leak tests.
• Maintain endoscopy equipment to include cleaning and sterilizing
• Responsible for proper storage of all scopes
• Maintain all logs for cleaning, reprocessing, and maintenance of scopes
• Maintain endoscopy cleaning equipment to include cleaning, disinfecting, and calibrating according to manufacturer's guidelines
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning and reprocessing supplies and accessories
• Ensure proper equipment use and all cleaning, reprocessing, and disinfecting scopes functions properly
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of endoscopy equipment, coordinating repairs when necessary
• Ensure that all appropriate cleaning and high-level disinfecting standards are being followed and documented properly
• Attend training as necessary to enhance or refresh skills
• Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum one (1) year endoscopic instrument processing experience required.
None required.
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) from Certification Board for Sterile Processing Distribution (CBSPD) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Typical Daily Schedule: one 8-hour shift (8:00 am - 4:30pm) or a 10-hour shift (8:00am- 6:30pm). Day varies
