Employment Type: Part-time (1012 hours/week, flexible)

Proposed Start Date: Mid/Late April 2026

Compensation: $30/hour

Proposed Schedule:

  • 1-2 days per week, 56 hours per day (flexible timing and can change it up as needed even last minute)

We need a house manager who can take initiative, offer light support with the kids, and help maintain order while being flexible as our family adjusts to new routines. Key Responsibilities:

Household Management & Organization

  • Create and maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms (load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas); maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Manage household calendars, syncing family and school schedules
  • Assist with planning occasional parties and family events
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Support unpacking after travel
  • Assist with setup tasks associated with the upcoming move (security system, baby-proofing, unpacking boxes)

Meal Planning & Preparation

  • Cook/prep healthy snacks and lunches for kids, batch-prep jar salad lunches for adults, and prepare 1-2 family meals per week
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Follow dietary needs and family preferences (allergies: peanut, egg & butter/milk)
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness

Inventory Management & Errands

  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, deliveries, and break down boxes

Laundry & Linen Care:

  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies

Pet Care

  • Walk dogs and manage care as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate vet, grooming, or other appointments

Vehicle Management

  • Schedule and oversee maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaning and organizing interior and exterior once per month
  • Track registration, insurance, and service schedules, along with managing address change with the move

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Assist with research, vetting and coordination of service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, cleaners, landscapers)
  • Occasionally act as point of contact and provide long-distance support for tenants at multiple properties as needed
  • Oversee occasional one-off projects for outdoor spaces and seasonal maintenance needs

Family Support & Child Assistance

  • Provide light childcare support, occasionally supervising kids during non-school hours and acting as back-up sitter for evenings out
  • Help with child-related errands and items such as researching and signing up for classes, etc.
  • Open to occasionally supporting an allergy introduction plan for one child (guidance provided; not a required responsibility).
  • Assist with baby-proofing new home before official move-in date

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Help with travel planning, scheduling, and logistics as needed
  • Perform light email tasks (sorting emails, calendar management)
  • Schedule appointments for the family (e.g., doctor, kids' activities, hair/facials, etc.)
  • Bonus points if open to providing occasional house sitting and pet care during family travel

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
