Employment Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week guaranteed)
Proposed Start Date: ASAP
Proposed Schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday, 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, with flexibility on Fridays.
  • Occasional evening/overnight coverage for work travel/date nights; flexibility as needed.

Compensation: $30-$35/hour (based on experience)

We are a busy, organized family with three active children (ages 11, 9, and 7) and two hypoallergenic dogs. With a full dynamic schedule and a Dad who travels frequently for work, we are seeking a reliable House Manager & Family Assistant to be a collaborative long-term support for our household to run smoothly.

You are respectful of privacy, discreet, and comfortable with a changing routine. You also have an excellent driving record for school drop-offs and pick-ups, and are open to occasional travel with the family when needed. Key Responsibilities
Household Management & Organization
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services (1x per week for deep clean)
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas
  • Oversee household schedules and calendars
  • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions
  • Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, cleaners, landscapers)
  • Maintain indoor plants
Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning (1x a week), gift shopping
  • Handle returns
Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Plan and prep healthy snacks for kids
  • Pack school lunches (4x a week)
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels) - especially related to kids' activities
  • Prepare outfits and uniforms as needed
  • Manage linens: wash and dry bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
Pet Care
  • Walk dogs midday
  • Schedule and take the dogs to grooming
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
Vehicle Management
  • Manage maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Water flowers outside
  • Serve as primary contact for vendors or guests
Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Assist with school/activity pick-ups or drop-offs: 3:15 PM pickup daily, 1:15 PM once a month, additional pickup when two schools are involved
  • Open to overnights when one parent travels and school drop-off in the morning, as needed
  • Light supervision, interaction, and spending time with kids, homework oversight
  • Prep backpacks (homework and laptops ready for the next day), team uniforms, or snacks for school
  • Help with child-related laundry or errands
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
  • Organize special projects: kids' closets, toy storage, gear rotation, and updated sizes
Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
  • Help with travel research, scheduling, and calendars - having foresight into upcoming key dates and navigating plans
  • Manage family calendars and reminders
  • Assist with coordination of events, appointments, as needed
