Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Morning 

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements 

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points, with working conditions varying by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials where required, and report unauthorized entry attempts and/or policy violations.
  • Support public-facing operations by assisting travelers and visitors with directions, answering general questions, and documenting security-related incidents and activities in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
