Cloud Architect
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you'll oversee our team of experienced professionals and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you to help support national security efforts by accelerating the integration of Artificial Intelligence solutions with our client's mission.
You'll work closely with AI Model Engineers, Data Engineers, software teams, and mission partners to design, integrate, and optimize the hybrid compute and storage environments that power AI information systems across operational, research, and enterprise settings. You'll expand your expertise in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code while developing and managing modular, scalable architectures that seamlessly support AI models, data pipelines, and mission workflows. With access to advanced on-premises and cloud environments, you'll explore innovative approaches for building resilient AI infrastructure, enhancing monitoring and performance, and enabling real-time situational awareness through a Common Operational Picture (COP). Whether modernizing existing mission systems or architecting new solutions end-to-end, you'll contribute to secure, high-availability platforms that drive critical national-level operations.
Grow your skills at the leading edge of innovation.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience with cloud architecture
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid compute and storage architectures for mission or enterprise environments
  • Experience with major cloud providers, such as AWS or Azure, and hybrid architectures, including VPC/VNet design, IAM, networking, security groups, and storage solutions
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and configuration management
  • Experience integrating systems in secure, classified or mission environments, including applying cybersecurity principles, Zero Trust concepts, and hardening standards
  • Experience with networking fundamentals, interconnectivity, APIs, and system integration
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tooling, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK/EFK, or Grafana, to ensure performance, reliability, and availability
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure and environments, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure and environments

Nice If You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience with cloud architecture
  • Experience with LLMOps/MLOps frameworks, model registry tools, and AI pipeline orchestration, such as Kubeflow, MLflow, Vertex AI, or SageMaker
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Kubernetes, EKS/AKS/GKE, Rancher, or OpenShift
  • Experience performing interoperability testing across mission systems, third-party APIs, and federated data platforms
  • Experience supporting environments with multi-classification or cross-domain data flows
  • Experience with Zero Trust architectures, FedRAMP/GovCloud requirements, or DoD-specific cloud environments
  • Experience architecting solutions for edge compute, disconnected operations, or limited-bandwidth environments
  • Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging compute, storage, and network technologies
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Security+, CASP+, CISSP, or other cybersecurity certifications

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
