WEBSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

Position:  Part Time Student Helpers: After School Buildings & Grounds (Posting number 2627-3918)                   
Location:  Buildings & Grounds
Start Date:  As Needed
Position Description:  Join our year-round team! We are hiring motivated high school students ages 16 and up for part-time, after school assistance with cleaning, maintenance, and seasonal outdoor tasks.
Seasonal and General Job Duties: 







  • Fall/Spring: Landscaping tasks such as raking leaves, clearing debris, weeding garden beds, and preparing grounds.
  • Winter: Shoveling sidewalks and entrances after snow events, spreading salt/ice-melt.
  • Year Round: Moving furniture, assisting with supply inventory, light maintenance organization, and facility cleaning.

Schedule: 

  • Part time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
  • Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 7:00pm. (Shifts are limited to 4 hours on school days).

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:  

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must possess a valid NYS Working Permit (required for students under the age of 18)
  • Able to handle the demands of shoveling, bending, lifting (up to 25lbs), and working outside in various weather conditions.
  • Punctual, reliable, and committed to excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to follow direction and work independently at times.          

Salary:  Hourly wage will be determined at the time of employment and based on starting rate of $15.50.
