Job description

The Project Manager will be responsible for performing project management and manufacturing planning tasks for jobs and projects in a technical and dynamic aerospace environment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Creates a work environment that is conducive for teamwork and strong professional development.
  • Takes assigned projects from estimating stage through to completion, while providing budgeting and operational justifications, as well as performing manufacturing planning.
  • Provides customer interface for Project Kickoff, Design Reviews, Manufacturability Discussions, Engineering Change Discussions, Equitable Adjustment, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Performs initial and ongoing project reviews with internal/external customers.
  • Develops manufacturing planning, including material takeoffs, project schedule, and coordinates with the top management to schedule and plan work efficiently.
  • Identifies process deficiencies and develops solutions to correct and/or improve, root cause, and process flow.
  • Coordinates the lessons learned/project reflection process for each assigned project.
  • Perform additional assignments and/or duties as assigned by manager.
  • Customer Status support that may require contact (verbal, written, or both) as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-7 years of engineering or project management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to initiate/manage cross-functional teams.
  • Possesses critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to lead by influencing, negotiating, and delegating.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 regulated environment.
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Project.

Preferred:

  • PMP Certification, or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.

The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
