Job Summary
The Chemistry Program is seeking part-time, adjunct faculty to teach General Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses for chemistry majors and non-majors and General Organic Biochemistry (GOB) lecture and laboratory courses for students majoring in nursing and related allied health and health professional fields depending upon specific qualifications. Part-time faculty are critical to the mission of the Chemistry Program. Part-time positions may or may not be available every semester; part-time faculty are hired as needed. However, part-time opportunities are typically available each semester.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities/Duties 1
To teach General Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., CHEM 1211, 1211L, 1212, and 1212L).
Job Responsibilities/Duties 2
To teach GOB lecture and/or laboratory courses for nursing and related allied health and health professional fields (e.g., CHEM 1151, 1151L, 1152, and 1152L).
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in chemistry or a chemistry-related discipline
• Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Chemistry or chemistry-related discipline.
• Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Chemistry) should correlate with the specific areas of application
• Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings
