Job description

Primary Therapist

Job Overview
As a Primary Therapist, you will provide mental health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, offering behavioral therapy, clinical expertise, and crisis support. You will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and leverage tools like telehealth to expand access to care. Your role will support clients through structured therapy, crisis management, data informed treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Duties

  • Conduct therapy sessions to address client mental health needs.

  • Implement behavioral therapy techniques to support clients with developmental disabilities.

  • Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services.

  • Manage crisis situations and deliver appropriate interventions.

  • Conduct clinical research to enhance treatment strategies.

  • Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various clinic settings to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

  • Proficiency in HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.

  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient mental health settings.

  • Competence using telehealth platforms for remote therapy.

  • Strong crisis management and intervention skills.
