OPEN POSITIONS:
LIFEGUARD - $16.43/hour
Available Shifts:
  • Monday - Friday 5:45am - 1:15pm
  • Monday - Thursday 3:45pm - 7:45pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 7:00am - 2:30pm

SWIM INSTRUCTOR - $16.43/hour
Available Shifts:
  • Monday - Thursday 3:45pm - 7:45pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 7:00am - 2:30pm
  • Other times by appointment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):
  • Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
  • Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
  • LIFEGUARDS: Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
  • Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
  • Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
  • Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
  • New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
