Benefits: The Accounting and Payroll Administrator will be an integral part of the Eluna Finance and Operations team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking to work a part-time, flexible schedule on a hybrid basis including both remote and in-person hours. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Administer regular payroll via ADP RUN
Ensure payroll and payroll tax documents are accurate and compliant with payroll accounting and all state tax agencies and resolve payroll problems and errorsMonitor staff paid and unpaid leave
Regular ledger entry of deposits and credit card transactions
Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations
Monthly depreciation calculations and input to general ledger
Prepare monthly leasing calculations and input to general ledger
Participate in required audit and tax processes, including financial statement audit, Single Audit, Form 990, 1099 distributions, annual Workers Compensation and other insurance audits, and annual Form 5500 preparation.
Prepare monthly close tasks and timely submission of reports
Prepare all Retirement Plan communications to participants, including any ad hoc communications
Conduct staff personnel file audits on a regular basis, communicate separation agreements to terminated employees
Input of deposits to QuickBooks
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Bachelors degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of related experience that can come from public accounting and/or industry
CPA certification preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Proficiency with data management; QuickBooks experience is a plus
Salesforce or other complex database experience is highly preferred
Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required
Ability to multitask, be creative and work within nonprofit budget realities
Confidentiality, honesty and discretion required

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; salary range is between $40,000- 45,000. We offer a 401(k) plan, flexible spending plan, and a commuter benefit is available; we also offer generous paid time off and flexible working hours.
