Job description

Medical Doctors Only Apply. A Sports Medicine Physician Family Practice practice is seeking a qualified physician for Tomah, WI. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD.

The Health System is looking for a BC/BE Family Physician, with OB interest. You would be joining a multi-disciplinary Patient Centered Medical Home model that integrates family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics. The medical staff includes a full-time and part-time family physician, a full time general internist, a full time pediatrician, a full time general surgeon and a part-time pediatrician/neurologist, a certified nurse midwife, two physician assistants and a family nurse practitioner. In addition, the Clinic also provides outreach clinics in cardiology, dermatology, gynecology, nephrology, podiatry and urology. The Clinic practices state-of-the art medicine and connects you with the entire Health System with its digital radiology, telemedicine and a system-wide integrated electronic medical record (Epic.)

This city is in South West Wisconsin and is a growing area of nearly 10,000 people. The clinic serves a three county areas. Located at the half-way point between Milwaukee and Minneapolis, it provides a prosperous location for the military as well as distribution and manufacturing industries, yet it is footsteps away from some of the finest outdoor opportunities Wisconsin has to offer. Hiking and bicycling trails, pristine lakes and waterways, and camping are only a short distance from home. The Area School District offers a well-rounded, quality education and is geographically one of the largest districts in the state of Wisconsin.

The Health System has long been committed to medical education and public service. They have ACGME accredited residency programs in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Transitional Year and is currently developing a Family Medicine residency program. They serve as the Western Academic Campus for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for both traditional track and Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM) third and fourth year students. The Clinic is a designated teaching site for the WARM program, and its medical staff hold clinical teaching appointments to UWSMPH. As a member of the Clinic, you will have an opportunity to teach the next generation of physicians in a rural setting.

There are no ER obligations with this Family Medicine position, but those interested in a mixed practice of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine are encouraged to inquire as there are opportunities for a split practice between the Clinic and the Hospital Emergency Department.

This unique practice opportunity will allow you to enjoy a balanced lifestyle in the exquisite Upper Mississippi River Valley and beautiful bluff country of Southwestern Wisconsin.
