Therapy and Learning Center of Georgia is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to provide Applied Behavior Analysis services to a child in the Milton, Georgia area.

This is a full-time in-home ABA position with a schedule of approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Exact scheduling may vary based on client needs, family availability, and company scheduling requirements.

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct Applied Behavior Analysis services by implementing treatment programs and behavior-reduction procedures developed by the supervising clinician. This role requires accurate data collection, timely documentation, ethical conduct, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting client safety, dignity, and progress.

Services may be provided in the client’s home, clinic, school, or other approved settings as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Implement individualized skill-acquisition programs and behavior intervention procedures as written by the supervising clinician.
• Collect accurate behavioral and skill-acquisition data, including frequency, duration, latency, trials, prompting levels, and other required data points.
• Enter data and complete documentation according to company expectations.
• Complete daily session notes and required documentation in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries at all times.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, clinical protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in ongoing supervision and training.
• Implement feedback from the supervising clinician in a timely manner.
• Communicate session progress, barriers to implementation, parent/caregiver concerns, and safety concerns promptly to the supervising clinician and leadership.
• Use proactive strategies, reinforcement procedures, and approved behavior support techniques to support safe and therapeutic sessions.
• Provide services in home, clinic, school, or community settings as assigned.
• Maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries in all service environments.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Registered Behavior Technician certification in good standing.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet onboarding requirements.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned work locations in or near Milton, Georgia.
• Ability to provide in-home ABA services in a professional and confidential manner.
• Basic computer skills for electronic data collection and documentation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding client, family, and company information.
• Availability to work a part-time afternoon schedule, generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing ABA services in home, school, clinic, or community-based settings.
• Experience working with children with autism or other developmental needs.
• Experience with electronic data collection systems and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work with children across developmental levels and behavior needs in varied settings.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and engage in floor-based activities.
• Ability to respond quickly to maintain client safety.
• Ability to lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to provide physical support only as trained, approved, and permitted.

Compliance and Professional Standards

The Registered Behavior Technician follows all company policies, confidentiality requirements, documentation standards, and clinical supervision requirements.

The RBT implements programs as written and escalates clinical questions to the supervising clinician. The RBT does not independently modify treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, or clinical programming.

Pay

$27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active RBT credential from the BACB (or ability to obtain within organization-defined timeframe, if hiring pathway allows).
• At least 6–12 months of experience providing ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorder or related developmental needs.
• Reliable, punctual attendance and availability for assigned schedule.
• Successful completion of background check and work authorization verification.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in pediatric ABA or special needs settings.
• CPR/First Aid certification and crisis-prevention training (e.g., CPI/MANDT/MCPP) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Basic proficiency with electronic data collection systems and MS Office/Google Workspace.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills; professional written and verbal communication.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand, walk at a brisk pace, sit on the floor or at a table, bend/stoop/kneel, and use hands and arms to reach and handle materials. The employee may be required to lift or move up to 30–50 pounds, support or block a child to ensure safety, and move quickly between rooms. The role may involve implementing crisis-prevention strategies per training (e.g., CPI/MANDT/MCPP) and responding to elopement or other safety concerns consistent with organizational protocols.

Schedule & Travel

Primary schedule is Monday–Friday during clinic hours; exact hours are assigned based on client needs. Occasional in-home or school-based sessions and limited local travel may be required.

Compliance & Other Expectations

• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements; maintains confidentiality of all protected information.
• Maintains current RBT certification and completes required continuing education and in-service training.
• Follows all organizational policies, clinical protocols, and safety procedures at all times.
