The Opportunity:
As an analytics professional, you're excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you're fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI). If you care about moving a mission forward as much as advancing the field of data science, this is the opportunity for you. Your AI and machine learning knowledge and consulting expertise, coupled with an original approach to your work, will help clients and stakeholders make sense of their data and encourage actionable results. We're looking for someone like you to steer complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with programming languages such as Python and Embedded C, operationalizing models, containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms for Army applications.
As an advanced data scientist or researcher on our Maritime and Ground Market team, you'll learn and apply innovative AI and machine learning methodologies to make a real-world impact on how these projects "change the world", including making time-sensitive policy decisions. You'll grow your skills in data science, AI, machine learning, operationalization, and predictive modeling, and shape the future of analytics through a variety of means like patents, peer-reviewed papers, major conference presentations, and code submissions.
We'll keep you sharp and moving forward in your career, with access to online courses and the latest tools and methods, and opportunities to develop industry-facing publications and presentations. You'll collaborate with a team that serves critical missions from end-to-end.

You Have:
  • Experience driving end-to-end computer vision research and development, moving prototypes toward operational applications
  • Experience partnering across engineering and research groups to mature algorithms, define interfaces, and harden training or inference pipelines for deployment
  • Experience formulating agentic AI as new fundamental research, including surveying, scoping the problem space, and defining research questions with evaluation criteria
  • Knowledge of hierarchical classification, 2D-3D representation, deep learning, Agentic AI, multi-view geometry, and synthetic data generation
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience establishing evaluation protocols such as benchmarks, ablations, and error analyses
  • Knowledge of domain adaptation, multi-modal models, and robust pose estimation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
