Job description

Licensed Therapist PHP/IOP Primary Therapist

Location: Delray Beach, Florida

Job Type: Part-Time, 1099 Contract

Work Setting: On-site PHP/IOP Program

Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 8:30/8:45 AM to 3:00 PM

Pay: $75,000 to $80,000 annually


Overview

A behavioral health organization in the Delray Beach area is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join a structured adult PHP/IOP program. This full-time 1099 role is ideal for a clinician who is comfortable working with substance use disorders, process addictions, co-occurring mental health conditions, and trauma-related presentations in a collaborative outpatient setting.

The position is primarily focused on individual therapy, treatment planning, and clinical documentation for a manageable caseload. This is a strong opportunity for a therapist who values clinical depth, schedule consistency, and meaningful work with adults in higher-acuity outpatient care.


Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy for clients participating in PHP and IOP services.
  • Serve as the primary therapist for an assigned caseload.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation, including insurance-related documentation and progress notes.
  • Participate in treatment planning, care coordination, weekly caseload review, and required clinical meetings.
  • Support family communication and family sessions when clinically appropriate.
  • Facilitate group therapy as assigned.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team.


Required Qualifications

  • Active Florida clinical license such as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent.
  • Experience or strong comfort working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Comfort working with process addictions, including compulsive sexual behavior and related presentations.
  • Strong clinical judgment, professional boundaries, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a PHP/IOP caseload and stay current on documentation requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Delray Beach, Florida area.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in PHP, IOP, residential, or other higher-acuity outpatient settings.
  • Training or experience in trauma-informed care, addiction treatment, or family work.
  • Experience with evidence-informed modalities such as EMDR, somatic approaches, or related trauma-focused interventions.
  • Background in group therapy, psychoeducation, or coordinated care for adult populations.
  • Existing private practice or independent contractor work and interest in supplementing clinical caseload.
