Job Summary
Responsible for the configuration, testing, maintenance, and delivery of learning technologies. Provides comprehensive, reliable, and relevant learning technologies to faculty, students and staff in support of the academic mission. Provides customer assistance to faculty, staff, and students in support of these learning technologies. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues and works closely with the internal team, vendors, USG, and KSU application administrators.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages daily operation, uses and configures learning systems
2. Recognizes and resolves the issues that may appear with assigned systems
3. Responsible for the configuration, testing, maintenance, and delivery of the USG and KSU adopted Learning Management Systems and the integrated technologies
4. Responsible for the configuration, testing, and management of Online Learning platform(s) for Professional skills and Compliance Training courses
5. Coordinates SIS Student Information data needs and SIS extracts with institutional and USG resources
6. Identifies, designs, implements, and communicates solutions, opportunities for processes and procedures on the use of learning systems
7. Researches current technology as it applies to the responsible systems and plan for future initiatives
8. Analyzes complex or previously unknown system issues
9. Ensures the integrity of responsible systems
10. Leads the version updates and testing of new service packs and security patches related to Learning Systems following established changes and management practice
11. Ensures system testing and user acceptance testing is complete, designs test plans, coordinates testing
12. Leads the communication of changes to learning systems to appropriate management and affected personnel
13. Writes and maintains system documentation
14. Leads and acts as an internal consultant by analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize responsible systems
15. Researches and recommends new technologies and strategies
16. Creates and updates end-user documentation and other resources for students, faculty, and staff
17. Leads and manages responsible systems projects such as new system implementations
18. Third-party integrations and manage Student Information System (SIS) integration
19. Engages with internal and external partners and maintains communication with vendor support channels to ensure continuity of service
20. Leads the administrative support for responsible systems
21. Responds in a timely and professional manner to requests for information
22. Serves as point of escalation for support issues and leads the troubleshooting efforts for users
23. Resolves issues relating to system functionality
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
Three (3) years of related IT experience demonstrating a progression of dealing with increasingly complex systems

An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, learning technology systems (LMS))
