The Flight Control Specialist will coordinate Aircraft and Crew schedules to fulfill Shareowner, Charter, and Sales prospect trips effectively and efficiently.  The individual must develop strong working relationships within the Operations Control Center with the goal of providing outstanding and efficient solutions to incoming trip demand from customers while ensuring compliance with FAR Part 135 and 91k regulations and company operating procedures.  This role is a point of contact for Airshare Pilots to the OCC.  This position will require you to work in the Corporate Headquarters office located in Overland Park, KS.  This is not a remote or hybrid role.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Verify all Airshare flights meet FAR Part 135/91K regulations for Crew, Aircraft, and Trip as scheduled
  • Efficiently build the flight schedule and assign Crew
  • Flight locate all Airshare flight activity
  • Release flights and brief Crews of flight activity
  • Schedule Crew duty assignments to best support Airshare operations
  • Assist Crew in all logistical needs as it pertains to the flight schedule
  • Assign Crew relocations and position travels
  • Assist with Crew requests
  • Arrange for landing and over-flight permits, clearances, ground handling, security needs, and customs for domestic and international destinations
  • Provide required documentation for and communicate with various government agencies for domestic and international destinations, including Customs and Immigration, as applicable
  • Work collaboratively with MX control and Owner Services in service recovery efforts
  • Review FARs and scheduling policies at each Basic Initial Indoc and Recurrent Ground School
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required

Qualified candidates will have excellent customer service, scheduling, and analytical skills.  Your schedules may fall on nights, weekends, and holidays, and you must be able to work them as this is a 24/7/365 operation. 

  • Skills in communicating clearly and effectively with people at all levels, both oral and written
  • Highly organized with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and prioritization
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Demonstrate initiative with minimum supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior business/executive aircraft scheduling experience
  • Understanding of FAA Part 135, 91, 91K regulations
  • Experience with personnel scheduling
