Description
Position at GVW Group, LLC
Real Estate Technology and Process Analyst-Ruddell Group
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with the Founder of a fast-growing commercial real estate investment and development company. You will gain firsthand exposure to acquisitions, development, leasing, operations, finance, technology, and entrepreneurship while helping build the systems that support our growth.
The single most important part of this role is being a systems, automation, and process-oriented thinker who can improve how our business operates every day.
Location: Birmingham, AL
We offer a generous relocation package to help make your move as smooth and stress-free as possible.
  • Birmingham is one of the Southeast's most dynamic and affordable cities, recognized nationally as a growing business hub and an attractive destination for professionals. The area offers a lower cost of living than many major metropolitan markets, a thriving culinary and entertainment scene, and convenient access to lakes, parks, and weekend destinations throughout the region.
  • Enjoy the best of both worlds-our Autocar facility is located just 20 minutes from downtown Birmingham, providing easy access to the city's amenities while maintaining a convenient commute.

Core Responsibilities
Automation, Systems & Process Improvement (Top Priority)
  • Build, maintain, and improve Microsoft Power Automate workflows.
  • Manage and optimize SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Create automated approval processes, notifications, reporting systems, and document workflows.
  • Implement AI tools, Microsoft Copilot, Forms, Lists, Planner, and Power Platform solutions.
  • Document and improve business processes through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend technology-driven solutions.
  • Ensure company data, files, and systems remain organized, accessible, and scalable.

Information & File Management
  • Own company folder organization and document management.
  • Maintain SharePoint and shared drive structures.
  • Ensure all files, projects, marketing materials, and property documents are properly labeled and up to date.
  • Establish organization standards and hold systems accountable to those standards.

Real Estate & Marketing Support
  • Create property presentations, offering memorandums, flyers, brochures, and investor materials.
  • Conduct market and property research.
  • Maintain property databases and project information.
  • Support acquisitions, leasing, development, and asset management initiatives.
  • Assist with financial analysis and project reporting.

Founder Support
  • Work directly with the Founder on strategic projects.
  • Assist with special initiatives as the business grows.
  • Help implement new systems, ideas, and technologies.
  • Be a trusted resource for getting things done quickly and accurately.

Qualifications
Required
  • Strong experience with Power Automate and workflow automation.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong technology aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to take ownership of projects.

Preferred
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Microsoft Lists, Planner, Forms, and Copilot.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and process automation.
  • Real estate, finance, business, or operations experience.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Experience creating professional marketing materials.

What You'll Gain
  • Direct daily access to the Founder and leadership team.
  • Exposure to commercial real estate investing, development, leasing, and operations.
  • Significant responsibility early in your career.
  • The ability to help build systems that drive company growth.
  • A clear growth path as the company expands.
  • More learning opportunities in one year than many corporate roles provide in five.

What This Role Is Not
This role is not for someone looking to simply clock in, complete a task list, and clock out.
We are looking for an A-player who is energized by solving problems, building systems, taking ownership, and continuously improving. If your goal is to do the minimum required, avoid accountability, or simply maintain the status quo, this position will not be a good fit.
This role is for someone who wants to learn, grow, contribute, and be part of building a high-performing company. The right candidate will view every challenge as an opportunity to improve themselves and the organization.
Who We Are Looking For
Someone who is:
  • Highly organized.
  • Tech-savvy.
  • Curious and ambitious.
  • Process-oriented.
  • Entrepreneurial.
  • Eager to learn commercial real estate.
  • Excited to help build something meaningful alongside a growing team.

What You will Get
  • We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package, to include base salary, incentive bonus opportunities, and benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life and AD&D insurance, and short-term and long-term disability.
  • 401(k) with a company match to help you invest in your future.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and company holidays to rest, recharge, and maintain work-life balance.
  • A high-impact role with real ownership.

If you are hungry to learn, enjoy technology and process improvement, and want a front-row seat to building a commercial real estate company, we would love to hear from you.
