Position Description:

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, meeting areas, and other public and back-of-house areas so guests and team members experience a well-maintained hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain hotel public areas, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and assigned back-of-house spaces.
  • Restock restroom supplies and remove trash from assigned areas.
  • Respond quickly to spills, guest messes, restroom needs, and cleanliness concerns.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish, wipe, and sanitize assigned surfaces.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged items, or unusual conditions to a supervisor.
  • Assist with deep cleaning, linen movement, furniture movement, or housekeeping support as needed.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly.
  • Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and team members.
