Description

Summary:          

Cleans and maintains public and employee areas of property following departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).

  • Gets ready for shift (garbage bags, gloves, chemicals, supplies).
  • Proceeds to assigned section and follows daily assignment sheet.
  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains public restrooms per assignment sheet.
  • Sweeps, mops, vacuums floors, and empties trash cans and ashtrays throughout casino property.
  • Wipe down all slot machines and chairs from dust, fingerprints and spills.
  • Ensure that all areas of casino are free of any spills or mishaps, and eating/drinking utensils. "All areas" of Gold Ranch Casino include (but not limited to) the Sports Lounge/Area, Guest Service Center.
  • Cleans and maintains outside areas of casino including stairways, parking lot, hallways, etc.
  • Cleans glass doors, mirrors, walls, equipment and furniture inside and outside of building.
  • Cleans admin areas and empties trash.
  • According to instructions and standards provided by supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • 1 year experience working as a Porter within casino environment preferred.

Language Ability:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English language - speak and read. 

Math Ability: None.

Reasoning Ability: 

  • Experience working with variety of chemicals and standard cleaning equipment.
  • Must be able to work at a steady pace to ensure that department schedule is kept.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work well with others and with minimum supervision.
  • Good customer service skills and employee relations skills.

Computer Skills:  None.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to handle heavy-duty equipment.
  • Must be able to push and pull heavy duty equipment.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching and kneeling without
  • restriction.
  • Ability to withstand working with chemicals and noise of equipment.
