Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to in room inspections, paperwork, surveys, inventory and scheduling and supervising the staff of housekeepers and laundry aides. Inherent to the position is the expectation for the Supervisor to continue training for more advanced management opportunities.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
o Must support our Mission Statement
o Able to identify and communicate with staff, residents, family members, and vendors.
o The ability to make quick decisions.
o Ability to operate a notebook/laptop computer.
o Adhere to all policies and procedures as stated in the employee handbook.
o Be available to work weekends and holidays as necessary
Required Duties:
o Scheduling of staff.
o Work alongside staff members.
o Encourage and mentor staff members.
o Order supplies.
o Inspect rooms for quality control.
o Update housekeeping and custodial sheets.
o Perform other tasks and responsibilities as needed.
o Communicate with Facilities Manager to ensure Housekeeping equipment is maintained properly.
Physical Requirements:
o Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
o Push/pull carts weighing an average of 50-100 lbs on wheeled casters on carpeted floors.
o Frequently twist, stoop, bend, kneel, squat and climb stairs.
o Stands, walks up to 100% in an 8 hour shift.
o Able to wear gloves and other protective equipment.
o Knowledgeable of use and care of hazardous chemicals such as soaps, disinfectants, etc.
o Frequent exposure to latex, vinyl, plastic or materials used in personal protective equipment.
