Job description

As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will take on the day-to-day responsibilities for administering and strategically implementing human resources programs and policies in your territory. Your role will be pivotal in collaborating with leadership on various aspects, including workforce planning, labor and management relations, performance management, organizational development, and talent management. Moreover, you will offer guidance to senior leadership, directors, managers, and supervisors on the application of pertinent human resource policies and procedures. You will report to the HR Director and be based in our Overland Park, Kansas office. Flexibility in some remote work will be allowed (hybrid).


  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide strategic HR support.
  • Align HR initiatives with organizational goals to drive business success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations matters.
  • Conduct investigations, provide guidance on conflict resolution, and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Interpret company policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs and provide appropriate training to management regarding relevant Federal, State and Local employment laws.
  • Work with leadership to identify talent needs and develop strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Support performance management processes and contribute to succession planning.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective recruitment strategies.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
  • Stay abreast of the region’s employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, conducting regular audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with respective HR partners to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
  • Provide support and guidance on employee benefits programs.
  • Identify training needs within the business unit and work with Training and Development function to implement relevant development programs.
  • Support employee growth and career development initiatives.
  • Participate on committees, project teams, and special projects as required.
  • Direct work of HR Generalist as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related major preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager required.
  • Supplementary training and/or designations (M.A., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) related to the human resource field preferred.
  • Multi-state experience is required.
  • Experience supporting at least 250 employees in an HR career is required.
  • Experience working with construction or field staff is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

USD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
