Shipping Supervisor Summary:
In this role, the Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipping department while actively participating in shipping, packaging, and logistics activities. This position ensures the accurate and timely shipment of products, compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements, and efficient coordination with carriers, customers, and internal departments.

Shipping Supervisor Pay Rate: $26/hr

Shipping Supervisor Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Shipping Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily shipping department operations and support team members in meeting shipping schedules.
  • Generate FedEx and UPS shipping labels for parcel shipments.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation for LTL, truckload, and international shipments.
  • Perform shipping functions as needed, including packaging, labeling, and shipment processing.
  • Coordinate shipments with parcel carriers, freight carriers, and logistics providers.
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
  • Monitor shipment accuracy and resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Work closely with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assist with export documentation and customs requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the shipping and logistics process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Shipping Supervisor Basic Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures.
  • Experience with parcel carriers, freight carriers, LTL shipments, and international logistics.
  • Experience preparing export documentation and customs paperwork.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and freight carrier portals preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Manufacturing software preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
