Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: Perform a variety of factory duties related to small parcel shipping (pulling, packaging, processing and shipping orders) and customer shipping requirements. Accurate and timely processing of appropriate paperwork throughout the lifecycle of the product. Assist with evaluating new, maintaining existing and reviewing updates to customer shipping requirements to assure proper shipping of customer orders per customer instructions.

Small Parcel Shipping
  • Assists and coordinates resources to ship within required dates/times.
  • Gather product per order form and pass along to small parcel lines.
  • Double check orders pulled from other associates and sign off on order form.
  • Packs products into boxes and applies packing slips on or in boxes.
  • Process orders through UPS/FedEx/USPS interface and place inapplicable area..
  • Mark boxes with required /special instructions per Dangerous goods required training hazardous.
  • Responsible for shipping domestic and international shipments.

Customer Shipping Requirements
  • Coordinate applicable international accounts requiring customer shipping requirements and maintain labels for those accounts
  • Processes customer PO's and orders.
  • Processes customer shipping requirements orders and any labeling required per customer guidelines.
  • Label types: Merchandise/pricing stickers, information labels, UCC/ASN labels etc.
  • Consolidate shipments for applicable accounts based on ship windows for customer accounts.
  • Notify the Customer Service Department of updates needed to customer accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining vendor customer shipping requirements documentation.
  • Assist with notifying appropriate personnel of shipping and packaging updates on customer accounts.
  • Assist in researching chargebacks and fines and provide documentation on how to dispute chargebacks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree, General Education Diploma or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the position functions of the job.
One or more years of shipping and packaging or other related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of order processing, preparing, and shipping an order.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Prior experience working in an office atmosphere.
Ability to understand and comply with Mueller Safety Systems and current regulatory requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in business administration, supply chain operations, administrative, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the position functions of the job.
ERP system experience with a preference to SAP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills; ability to stand or sit, bend or stoop, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light weights of up to 30 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment and read. The team member frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Position requires frequent typing.
