Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students and educators throughout the school year.

Hourly Rate Range: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist special education teachers with implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
  • Modify classroom materials and activities based on individual student needs.
  • Support students with communication, mobility, social-emotional development, and daily living skills.
  • Reinforce positive behavior strategies and assist with classroom management.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, recess areas, and other school settings.
  • Collect and document data related to student progress, behavior, and IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other school professionals to promote student success.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when interacting with students, families, and staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, a minimum of 48 college credit hours, or successful completion of a district-approved paraprofessional assessment may be required.
  • Paraprofessional certification or approval preferred, based on state and district requirements.
  • Previous experience supporting students with disabilities in a school, childcare, behavioral health, or similar setting preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training preferred.
  • Ability to meet all fingerprinting, background-check, and district clearance requirements.
