Full-Time Paraprofessional (Health & Behavioral Support)

Locations: Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Full-Time | School Year Position
Start Date: September 2026 (2026–2027 School Year)
Pay: $24/hr

Job Description

We are seeking Full-Time Paraprofessionals to provide health and behavioral support services to students for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. Positions are available in Staten Island school settings.

Paraprofessionals will support students with academic, behavioral, emotional, and physical needs in a structured educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and/or group support to students as assigned

  • Assist with implementation of behavioral support plans

  • Support classroom instruction and teacher direction

  • Ensure student safety, supervision, and well-being throughout the school day

  • Assist students with daily routines and transitions

  • Document observations and report concerns to supervising staff

  • Maintain professionalism and follow school policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required

  • Experience working with children required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain patient, consistent, and supportive in a school setting

  • Experience in behavioral support or special education settings preferred but not required
