Job description

Work as an independent Paramedical Contractor ANYWHERE in the state of IOWA. Make your own schedule, be as busy or not busy as you want.ย  You are not penalized for declining cases!
APPS Paramedical Services is the nationโ€™s largest and most technologically advanced health examination and information provider. Our network of health professionals conducts physical examinations, testing (venipunctures, EKG's etc), and personal health interviews.ย  We serve the life insurance industry's leading providers (New York Life, Primerica, Principal, Northwestern Mutual etc.) by being the partner company providing physical examination, invasive and non invasive testing required for their policies to be underwritten.ย  We also complete clinical trial blood draws for a rapidly growing clinical trial industry.

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented, currently or previously certified or licensed healthcare professionals (Critical care paramedics, RN's, LPN's, Certified MA, Phlebotomist, EMTโ€™s & non- CC Paramedics) to work your own schedule and hours, cases, part- and full-time.ย 
Up to $50/hr depending on requirements of each individual case.
This is a 1099G (Independent Contractor) position.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Performing mobile paramedical healthcare exams (health history, vitals, obtain and complete specimens: blood, urine, etc.).
  • Non-interpretive ECG tracings. ECG machines are not the examiner's responsibility to own.
  • The ability to self-schedule your caseload; APPS sends you the case. you accept or decline - it's YOUR business.
  • Must have strong and continued communication with the regional office's friendly staff regarding case status or any issues, needs, conflicts that arise.
  • Professional conduct required at all times that is representative of the healthcare industry that you represent and the company that places its trust in you!
Qualified candidates must have:
  • Current licensure, certificate of medical training IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION (e.g., RN, LPN, Med Tech, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, and EMT/Paramedics).
  • Previous certification/licensure or commensurate experience is required (see next).
  • Must have one year of recent phlebotomy experience and completed a minimum of 100 successful draws, valid driverโ€™s license, and own transportation with valid insurance.
  • The position requires excellent communication, organization, and technical skills: the interpersonal skills to interface extensively with clients, management, and office staff, as well as a high level of courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
  • The candidate must also have a computer (preferably a laptop with camera or a tablet and a mobile phone).ย 
  • Documentation standards, time service, and scheduling transparency are of paramount importance.
