Description:

The Paramedic plays a critical role in delivering high‐quality, patient‐centered care within a secure correctional healthcare environment. This position provides advanced life support, rapid assessment, and clinical intervention to individuals with diverse and often complex medical needs. Ideal candidates thrive in a structured setting, value teamwork, and are motivated by meaningful, mission‐driven work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide basic and advanced life support, patient assessment, stabilization, and treatment in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Coordinate emergency care with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient outcomes.
  • Apply strong triage and prioritization skills to manage multiple clinical needs efficiently.
  • Maintain strict control and security of medications during administration while upholding all safety standards.
  • Immediately report adverse patient events, reactions, or safety concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to all FirstClass Healthcare (FCH) policies, facility procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support FCH’s mission, values, and operational goals.
