Paramedic Operations Manager Jobs in Indiana (NOW HIRING)

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Contract Paramedics to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This role involves providing advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care and interfacility transport (IFT) services, depending on assignment needs. Candidates must be adaptable, professional, and ready to work in dynamic environments. Reliable personal transportation is required for commuting to Indiana and from the apartment to station.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. At least 1 year of paramedic experience.
2. Valid, current state or NR Paramedic certification.
3. Valid current Drivers License. Has no more than 2 accidents &/or moving violations in the last 3 yrs.
4. In general, no criminal record in which the individual received a verdict of other than non guilty in a criminal proceeding. However, specific factors, including but not necessarily limited to how recent the criminal proceeding, the nature of the criminal act, and other factors will be utilized by Administration in determining relevance and overall impact on the individual's suitability for initial or continued employment.
5. Must be at least 21 years of age.
6. NIMS Certifications and Hazmat Training

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Emergency medical technician training and certification required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
All copies must be clear and legible.
Driver's License
Each state issues individual Driver's Licenses. Some states require certain endorsements to legally drive an ambulance. If required, these endorsements must be present on the license. Assure that the license's expiration date has not passed and all information on the license is legible.
State EMS
Certification
A clear legible copy of a state issued wallet card (front & back) or certificate is acceptable. Assure that the document is valid by checking the expiration date in addition to any resources provided by the issuing department or agency.
Emergency Vehicle
Operations Course
(EVOC)
A legible copy of an EVOC completion certificate or an equivalent is acceptable. Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator-Ambulance (CEVO) as well as Defensive Drive 4 (DDC4)is an accepted equivalent.
Hazmat "Awareness
Level" training
A course completion certificate that specifically states Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) "Awareness Level" training. Equivalent to OSHA 1910.120(q)(6)(i) or EPA 40 CFR 311.
Hepatitis B
Vaccination
A copy of documentation that the series has been completed or a copy of a signed declination waiver of liability is acceptable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment.
2. Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons.
3. Providing emergency medical treatment, while not exceeding the level of skill, training and certification of the individual employee.
4. Full compliance with all applicable state, local, and federal regulations and laws, pertaining to but not limited to protocols, standards of care, motor vehicle operations, and patient rights.
5. Observes patient, records significant conditions and treatments rendered.
6. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
7. Prepares inventories and stocks supplies and inspects equipment for proper operation.
8. Cleans and disinfects interior of ambulance. Cleans and details exterior of ambulance. Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness and proper stocking of the ambulance, company vehicles, equipment, office, lounge, and bathrooms.
9. Must be able to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences and other locations.
10. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, family members, medical personnel, and the general public in verbal and written form.
11. Must have reliable transportation and must report to work punctually for all scheduled shifts and in proper uniform.
12. Maintaining a clean and complete uniform, personal hygiene, and professional, pleasant and polite demeanor to all persons with whom the individual comes in contact with while on duty.
13. Must be available, willing and able to work, when requested up to and including 60 minutes prior to the scheduled shift start time and may be dispatched an additional transport, if the employee is still on the clock up to and including their scheduled shift end time. Specific requirements are explained in the Procedure Manual.
14. Completing and maintaining accurate records and documentation with regard to transport, equipment inspection, supplies usage incidents and other forms of documentation inherent in the operation.
15. Promote the company, perform public relations when assigned, perform standby coverage at special events, deliver medical equipment and supplies when assigned, and other details when assigned.
16. Attending company meetings and educational sessions whenever possible.
17. Inspecting and promptly reporting damage, deficiencies, safety issues or other problems with ambulances, company vehicles, equipment and supplies, or any other matters relevant to the safe, efficient and proper operation of the company. Such reports are to be made immediately to Administration.
18. Reporting immediately to Administration in writing any change in the employee's driving record status, certification status or any other change in circumstances or status which could affect the individual's ability to effectively and safely perform the duties of the position or to otherwise qualify for the position held.
19. Reporting immediately to Administration in writing any change in the employee's health status or physical status which could affect the individual's ability to effectively safely perform the duties of the position, or to otherwise qualify for the position held.
20. Reporting immediately to Administration any change in information provided to the company on employment records or other company records.
21. In the interest of maintaining the highest level of quality patient care, safety, and efficiency of operation, it is the responsibility of each employee to report immediately to Administration any violation of the personnel policies or procedures.
22. Compliance with all provisions of the Employee Policies and Procedures Manual, as well as all other company rules, regulations, directives, or instructions from supervisors.
23. Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information pertaining to company policies, pricing, contract terms, trade secrets, competitive information, strategic information, patient date, forms, manuals, charts, employee data, or any other sensitive or confidential information obtained while employed by or pertaining to the company, it's employees, business information, or patients. Due to the extremely sensitive nature of this position, this duty of strict confidentiality extends beyond the term of employment.
24. Supervised by and reports to Operations Management (including Shift Supervisors).
25. Other duties as assigned by Administration.

HOURS:
Hours may vary. 12 or 24 hour shifts depending on the need. 84 hours per week.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
