Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health East Texas is comprised of 9 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. We provide healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.
Responsibilities:
  • The Patient Logistics Coordinator Paramedic facilitates patient admissions within the Ardent Health system by conducting initial screenings based on approved clinical criteria to ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Operating with moderate autonomy, they make protocol-driven decisions to support safe and efficient patient intake.
  • The role involves rapid assessment of patient needs, sometimes in a field setting, coordination with EMS and transfer centers, and collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital departments to optimize patient movement.
  • Additionally, the coordinator works with hospital leadership to identify systemic barriers to throughput and contributes to improving patient flow and care transitions.
Qualifications:

Job Requirements: 

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Current licensed Paramedic in the State of Residence (NREMT-P).
  • 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Must be proficient in EMTALA.

Preferred Job Requirements: 

  • 3 years of clinical experience in ED or Critical Care.
