Job description

Parallel Systems is pioneering autonomous battery-electric rail vehicles designed to transform freight transportation by shifting portions of the $900 billion U.S. trucking industry onto rail. Our innovative technology offers cleaner, safer, and more efficient logistics solutions. Join our dynamic team and help shape a smarter, greener future for global freight.

Senior Recruiter

Parallel Systems is building autonomous, battery-electric rail vehicles to modernize freight transportation. We are hiring a Senior Recruiter to help us build the team that will bring this technology into the real world.

This role will sit on the Talent team and report to the Head of Talent. You will own full-cycle recruiting across technical and business-critical roles, with a heavy focus on sourcing exceptional candidates for engineering, hardware, software, manufacturing, operations, and go-to-market hiring.

This is a hands-on recruiting role. We are looking for someone who can build pipeline from scratch, engage passive talent, partner tightly with hiring managers, and help improve how recruiting operates at Parallel. The right person is comfortable using modern recruiting tools, automation, and AI where appropriate to increase speed, consistency, candidate quality, and hiring manager visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, from intake through offer close.
  • Drive outbound sourcing for priority searches, including target company mapping, candidate research, outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline conversion.
  • Build high-quality candidate pipelines through sourcing, referrals, events, networks, and targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate on talent bar, build search strategies, and keep searches moving with urgency.
  • Create thoughtful candidate outreach that clearly communicates Parallel's mission, technology, and opportunity.
  • Screen candidates for role fit, motivation, technical alignment, compensation expectations, and likelihood to close.
  • Run structured recruiting processes, including interview planning, feedback collection, debriefs, and offer support.
  • Use Greenhouse, Noon.ai, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting tools to manage pipeline, improve workflows, and increase recruiting visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive recruiting tasks while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Help improve recruiting practices across sourcing, scorecards, hiring manager alignment, reporting, candidate communication, and interview process.
  • Represent Parallel in the market with credibility, professionalism, and strong judgment.

What Success Looks Like:

  • In 30 Days: You are independently owning hiring manager relationships for assigned searches, including intake, calibration, pipeline updates, sourcing strategy, and next steps.
  • In 60 Days: You have filled at least one role or moved a priority search to final-stage candidates, while showing measurable sourcing output across outbound activity, response rates, qualified screens, and onsite conversions.
  • In 90 Days: You have filled 1-2 critical roles while also providing at least 1 automation to the recruiting process.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, with meaningful ownership of full-cycle recruiting.
  • Strong outbound sourcing experience, including target company mapping, LinkedIn Recruiter, candidate research, outreach campaigns, and passive candidate engagement.
  • Experience recruiting technical talent in a hard-tech or complex environment.
  • Experience working as an internal recruiter while partnering directly with hiring managers to define roles, calibrate talent, and manage searches.
  • Experience using modern recruiting tools (such as Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Noon.ai or similar platforms).
  • Comfortable operating in a startup environment with changing priorities, lean resources, and high expectations.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to drive work forward independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting for a venture-backed startup or high-growth technical company.
  • Comfort using AI, automation, and recruiting technology to improve sourcing, workflow efficiency, candidate engagement, reporting, and process quality.
  • Experience improving recruiting workflows, reporting, candidate communications, interview processes, or hiring manager enablement.
  • Strong interest in transportation, robotics, autonomy, climate technology, infrastructure, or industrial innovation.

We are committed to providing fair and transparent compensation in accordance with applicable laws. Salary ranges are listed below and reflect the expected range for new hires in this role, based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Final compensation may vary and will be determined during the interview process. The target hiring range for this position is listed below.
