Job description


The Paralegal supports the warranty litigation team by assisting attorneys and paralegals with day-to-day management of warranty litigation claims and arbitration matters. This role helps drive consistent, efficient case handling across a national portfolio, including support for service of process, discovery coordination, and case documentation in partnership with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support management of a high-volume warranty litigation and arbitration portfolio, including intake, file maintenance, and tracking of key dates and deadlines
  • Assist with service of process activities, including coordinating with vendors/outside counsel and maintaining proof of service documentation
  • Support discovery efforts as needed, including document collection/organization, tracking responses and deadlines, and maintaining production logs
  • Draft routine pleadings, notices, and correspondence for attorney review; communicate with outside counsel regarding status, required documents, and next steps
  • Assist with case assessment activities by organizing facts, documents, and claim information and preparing matter summaries and status reports
  • Collaborate closely with warranty litigation attorneys and other paralegals to ensure consistent processes, timely follow-up, and high-quality work product

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or higher, or Paralegal certification and/or Paralegal degree
  • At least 3 years of prior paralegal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting litigation, including the discovery process (document collection/organization, written discovery tracking, and deposition support)
  • Paralegal certification and/or paralegal degree
  • Experience with case/claim management, including maintaining accurate case files and tracking deadlines
  • Experience assisting with case assessment and preparing matter summaries and status reporting
  • Ability to draft case assessments, pleadings, and correspondence for attorney review and to communicate effectively with outside counsel
  • Task-oriented with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume workload environment
