Description

Position Summary: ย Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.ย 


Role Description: ย Manual cleaning and inspection of moulds for Engineered Stone products and ย movement of slabs utilizing overhead crane. ย Manual measurement and quality checks of semi-finished ย slabs is also required. ย Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves ย lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment ย to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes. Loose fitting clothes ย and jewelry are not permitted.


Responsibilities: ย 

  • Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.ย 
  • Semi-Product inspection and documentation.
  • Operational control of release agent preparation and distribution.
  • Responsible for rubber mould loading and line control.
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining moulds.
  • Responsible for quality control Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product ย within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.ย 
  • Detailed cleaning of all applicable areas during product color changes.
  • Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader.ย 
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area.ย 
  • Complete shift paper work.
  • Assist in production as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned. ย 

Requirements

Education and Work Experience: ย 

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high ย school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.ย 

Knowledge and Skills: ย 

  • Knowledge of basic moulding processes, procedures, and machinery preferred (ex. oven/kiln ย operation, conveying systems, presses).ย 
  • Experience in the safe storage and handling of chemicals.ย 

Physical Demands:ย 

  • May encounter the following chemicals: ย o Acetone ย o Resin ย o Styrene ย ย 
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.ย 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. ย 
  • Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time. ย 
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification. ย ย ย
