Job description


Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations is a hands-on strategic and visible role is responsible for shaping, articulating, and embedding Product & Technology's plan and priorities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complex and evolving challenges, and is energized by change, continuous learning, and delivering through influence rather than direct ownership. Working closely with executive leaders and cross-functional partners, this individual translates complex concepts into compelling narratives, drives alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and establishes the operational rhythms that turn strategy into action.
The person in this role will develop and drive alignment on P&T's strategy, key priorities, and progress-brought to life through definition of clear plans and narratives showcased through executive content: from robust Board papers to succinct presentations to strategic leadership forums. Operationally, this role will partner with technology leaders to bring a product / business lens, implement operational best practices and ways of working to ensure consistency, efficiency, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
Your Day to Day
Create and drive the P&T strategy:
  • Transform complex ideas, evolving priorities, and emerging opportunities into clear strategic recommendations and executive-level narratives (mostly in Power Point).

  • Drive clarity and alignment in ambiguous situations, establishing practical paths forward where processes or solutions do not yet exist.

  • Lead and support high-priority strategic initiatives, adapting quickly as business needs evolve.

Embed P&T strategy & messaging:
  • Develop compelling storytelling and executive communications that translate strategy into clear, actionable messages for diverse audiences.

  • Establish discipline, operating rhythms, and planning mechanisms that drive focus, accountability, and execution across teams

What we need from you
  • 5+ years of progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in travel/hospitality, corporate strategy, or technology strategy, particularly in multi-stakeholder environments.

    • Proven success operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with the ability to create clarity, structure, and momentum where established processes may not exist.
    • Strong consulting, strategy, or business transformation experience with demonstrated ability to frame problems, evaluate options, and develop & implement actionable recommendations.
    • Exceptional executive storytelling and communication skills, including development of compelling presentations, board materials, and strategic narratives.
    • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries, build trusted partnerships, and influence outcomes in complex, matrixed environments.
    • Highly proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement.
    • Proven ability to establish operating rhythms, planning disciplines, and organizational structures that improve focus, alignment, and execution.
    • Comfortable navigating evolving priorities, balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously, and quickly pivoting to emerging business needs.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging AI tools and modern ways of working to improve efficiency, decision-making, and communication effectiveness.
      • Decision-making responsibilities (Key Decision Rights):
      • Owns:
      1. Executive-level papers and presentations support for EC, IHG Board, and OA Board/Tech Committee
      2. Organization of and content for P&T tower level operational best practices/templates, P&T-wide forums, SLT/ELT sessions, & leadership offsites
      3. Messaging strategy for owner communications where P&T-wide alignment is required
      • Influences:
      1. Cross-functional clarity and adoption of the P&T strategy and value proposition
      2. Principles and practices supporting a product-driven, enterprise-minded culture
      3. How P&T is represented in key external forums and conferences
      4. Development of strategy-aligned tools and messaging for internal and external stakeholders

Travel - limited 10%
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted with the changing needs of the business.
