A typical day as a Papa Pal involves visiting assigned older adults in their homes or accompanying them on errands, helping with light tasks, providing companionship, and engaging in friendly conversation. Depending on your clients’ needs, you might assist with grocery shopping, transportation to appointments, organizing household items, or sharing activities like games or walks. You’ll generally work independently, but you'll have support from the Papa team and access to resources to help manage your schedule and client communications. This opportunity is ideal for anyone seeking part-time engagement with control over their schedule — whether you're balancing another job, school, caregiving, or personal commitments. No professional caregiving experience is required — just a passion for helping others.
Visits can include:
- Transportation: Provide rides to local destinations.
- Non-Medical Companionship: Engage in conversation, go for walks, play games, or simply spend quality time together.
- In-Home Support: Offer light non-medical assistance with daily tasks such as, tidying up, laundry, meal prep, and other light tasks.
- Errands: Accompany individuals on grocery runs, store pick-ups, and similar outings.
