Under limited supervision of the Dean of Student Engagement, the Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating programs and services related to meeting the basic needs of students. The Director plays a vital role in promoting social welfare and improving the quality of life for students facing challenging circumstances. The Director will use a case management model to direct the emergency food pantry and distribution of emergency assistance funds. The Director will work closely with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to assess needs, develop programs, and ensure access to essential resources such as food, housing, healthcare, and other social services, along with building and maintaining a productive relationship with faculty/staff/students.

Supervise Pantry Assistant, Administrative Assistant, student workers, interns, and volunteers in accordance with state and college policies.
Collaborate with the Greenville Tech Foundation to distribute Emergency Assistance Funds to students and maintain records for reporting purposes.
Participate in marketing, speaking engagements, and other events to promote theCenter
Organize and facilitate quarterly advisory committee meetings
Student Support
Evaluate Emergency Fund applications to determine if the student meets the criteria/qualifications for emergency assistance.
Follow a holistic case management approach to ensure that students are aware of and referred to academic/personal support available at the college as well as through community agencies, non-profit organizations, and government programs.
Provide training workshops for students and employees (ex. overviews of services, poverty training).
Community Engagement
Serve on college committees relating to crisis services and student retention.
Represent GTC in the local nonprofit community, establishing partnerships with various agencies to advance opportunities for students at-risk.
Maintain knowledge of crisis services and student retention issues by following best practices, joining professional organizations, and attending workshops and conferences (as budget allows).
Data Management and Reporting
Develop and maintain data collection systems to track program outcomes, assess effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports and documentation to inform stakeholders, funders, and the broader community about program achievements and impact.
Manage emergency food pantry operations, including processes to track usage, maintain inventory, and offer a safe, welcoming environment.
Collect, analyze and report data (quantitative and qualitative) to identify and communicate student needs and justify services and programs.
Effectively manage Foundation accounts, college operating accounts, and other funding sources
