Job description

Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, test, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems. This includes wiring, motors, light fixtures, electric panels, and more. You will diagnose and fix malfunctioning systems, ensure compliance with safety codes, and contribute to custom electronic design and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical or electronic wiring, motors, light fixtures, electric panels, and other systems.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Install low voltage and multimedia cabling.
  • Perform custom electronic design and installation.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
  • Bend conduit and place it inside designated partitions and walls, then pull insulated wires or cables through it.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Participate in the training of apprentices and other workers.
  • Perform other general building maintenance and drive vehicles as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of verifiable journey-level experience in the electrical field.
  • Proficiency in electrical schematic and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with wiring, assembly, and installation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
  • Skill in conduit bending and running, and wire pulling.
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems, motors, and electric panels.
  • Experience with industrial lighting and PLC troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and determine maintenance needs.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience using craft-related hand and power tools such as drills, conduit benders, drill presses, and cable pullers.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $46.00/hr.
