Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform an array of functions that include operating HEM and Cosen saws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 - 3 years' experience operating a saw
  • 1+ year experience operating forklifts a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of computer
  • High school diploma or GED certificate

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up the saw machine, making adjustments for each job
  • Set stops or guides to specified lengths
  • Operate the saw machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues
  • Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy, mainly a measuring tape
  • Help pack and transport finished pieces using forklift
  • Accurately complete paperwork
  • Will cross-train and assist in other areas as needed and directed by supervisor
  • Attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
