Saw Operator - 3rd Shift - $25.95/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for an experienced saw operator (M-F, occasional Saturdays) to be based out of Harvey, IL approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for set-up and operation of Adige, Hem, band, and circular saws to cut tube, pipe and channels to required lengths. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience driving a forklift and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform routine maintenance checks prior to operation.
  • Check to make sure all machine guards/exhausts are operative and in place.
  • Check raw material to ensure proper size, gauge, length, and finish.
  • Set-up and operate saw for customer orders.
  • Load/unload saws with forklifts.
  • Must ensure that orders are cut per specifications on the order.
  • Check quality of finished parts to meet specs and/or match the sample piece.
  • Clean saws and surrounding areas.

  • Ability to pass the post offer employment process with drug screen

  • Show progress and/or complete job specific training
