Job description

The Pan Press Operator is primarily responsible for operating and monitoring a pan press machine to form aluminum steamer pans to required quality and production standards. This role includes providing material handling assistance, loading materials, making routine adjustments, inspecting product, and following all safety and sanitation requirements.

Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
         Set up and operate the pan press machine to form aluminum steamer pans in accordance with work instructions and production schedules.
         Load aluminum rolls and other required materials; stage, feed, and remove material/product safely to maintain continuous operation.
         Stack finished goods onto pallets or into cases, according to customer specifications. 
         Monitor press operation and make routine adjustments within authorized limits to maintain quality and efficiency.
         Inspect finished pans and in-process product for defects and verify they meet quality standards.
         Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming product; and notify supervisor/lead or quality control quality as required.
         Perform basic troubleshooting and safely stop/start equipment according to established guidelines and safety rules; escalate mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
         Complete required production, and downtime documentation accurately and on time.
         Comply with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area. 
         Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. 
         Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager, Lead or other members of management.
Must have's:
         High School Diploma or GED. 
         Basic computer skills including touch screens. 
         Ability to perform basic math skills. 
         Must be able to meet daily production requirements. 
         Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
         Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.
         Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel.
         Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
Nice to have's:
         One plus year's working in a fast paced production environment.
         One plus year's prior machine operation experience.
