Job description

Your role:
In your role as Logistics Support Lead, you will be part of RLMA Warehouse team on and Redstone Army Arsenal providing effective technical knowledge and professional attitude with the end goal of providing the Warfighter and Department of Defense agencies with the necessary support required to achieve mission success. Your position will report directly to the Site Manager on inventory statuses, concerns, or problems with assigned programs, and is one part of a multi team effort to support different requirements for various U.S. Government customers, as well as occasionally surging to support priority efforts of the entire RLMA team.

Primary duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Knowledge on proper receiving, processing, tracking, issuing, COSIS, and conducting periodic inventories of DoD Material in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Utilize FEDLOG, AESIP, and other DoD catalog systems to gather accurate information on inbound assets entering the warehouse for proper cataloging.
  • Understanding of regulatory guidance including, but not limited to, AR 710-2-1, AR 735-5, DLA Requirements, TM 38-8145-709, and DA PAM 738-751.
  • Create and maintain open communication channels with customers via email, phone calls, and face-to-face conversations.
  • Ability to gather information from multiple sources about a variety of topics, and ability to sort, process, and organize information accordingly.
  • Develop and manage due-outs and tasking by different programs/sections/areas, while incorporating due-outs pushed out from higher levels.
  • Ability to generate standard operating procedures and program specific process based on different program needs.
  • Maintain proper accountability of required paperwork in an organized manner able
  • Ability to manage a team of personnel, while properly distributing work based on workload, skill sets, etc.
  • Supervise employees operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (Forklifts) in a warehouse / dock environment.
  • Must be able to analyze and assess work performance of self and team, while also creating solutions to constantly improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work being done.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while encountering difficult situations with customers, government personnel, supervisors, subordinates, and fellow team leads.
  • Work with team on continuous improvement to streamline procedures for efficiency.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and re-prioritize work to meet changing deadlines.
  • Assist other programs/sections/areas, when necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 years' experience as a Logistics Operations Manager/Lead
  • Must have a Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have knowledge and experience with material procurements, logistics, supply chain management, repair planning and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to solo lift 25 pounds to shoulder height safely, and team lift 50 pounds safely.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 years' experience as a Logistics Operations Manager/Lead
  • Must have a Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have knowledge and experience with material procurements, logistics, supply chain management, repair planning and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to solo lift 25 pounds to shoulder height safely, and team lift 50 pounds safely.
