Job description

Opportunity Details
Position Title: Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatrist
Location: Tucson, AZ
Palo Verde Behavioral Health has a longstanding reputation for stability in mental health and substance-use treatment, serving patients in and around Tucson since 1960. We offer individualized, inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs for adults and adolescents.
Position Details:
  • Patient population: Inpatient adolescent care for patients ages 12-17.
  • Care Setting: Mostly inpatient work with additional adolescent PHP/IOP available (optional).
  • Manageable Caseload: Average of 15 total patient encounters per day.
  • Position Type: Full-time Employed W-2 with benefits or 1099 Independent Contractor available.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, days only.
  • Call: No weekday call required.
  • Weekends: Average 1:5 weekend rounding split amongst the team.

Benefits and Compensation:
  • Competitive base salary range: $330,000-$350,000.
  • Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance available.
  • Bonus: Additional earnings through potential via Productivity Bonus and additional weekend coverage and evening call.

  • Paid-Time Off: 26 days per year
  • CME Package: 5 paid CME days per year + reimbursement for related expenses.

Requirements:
  1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required.
  2. Board certified or board eligible child & adolescent psychiatry required.
  3. Arizona medical license or the ability to obtain an Arizona medical license.
  4. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
