Job description

Field Sales Representative (FSR) is responsible for supporting the growth of the pallet business by developing new customer relationships and servicing existing accounts within the assigned territory. This role is designed for individuals early in their sales career who are eager to learn the business, build strong customer relationships, and grow into a full territory management role.

The FSR will partner closely with inside sales and operations teams to deliver strong customer service, identify opportunities, and drive volume and margin growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Conduct customer visits to understand operations, needs, and growth opportunities
  • Support the sales process from prospecting through closing and ongoing account management
  • Develop and present proposals and quotes for customers.

Account Management

  • Service existing customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth
  • Respond to customer inquiries, pricing requests, and product needs
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution
  • Support account planning and growth strategies for key customers

Market & Territory Support

  • Learn the pallet and industrial packaging market, including customer applications and usage
  • Track leads, opportunities, and sales activity within CRM or tracking tools
  • Monitor territory trends and communicate customer insights to leadership
  • Assist in building territory plans focused on volume growth and profitability

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with inside sales, operations, and logistics teams to support customer needs
  • Communicate effectively across departments to resolve issues and deliver solutions
  • Participate in training, ride-alongs, and development opportunities to build product and market knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field prepared
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or related field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory
