Job description

Position Summary

J & J Companies is seeking dependable and motivated Pallet Rack Installer(s)  to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and dismantling pallet racking, industrial shelving, mezzanines, wire partitions, and other warehouse storage systems at customer facilities. We will train! 

Most projects are completed within a 100-mile radius of Columbia, PA, with approximately 20% overnight travel for larger regional projects. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is mechanically inclined, works well as part of a team, and is committed to delivering quality workmanship while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities- On the Job Training! 

  • Install pallet rack systems, industrial shelving, cantilever racks, and warehouse storage equipment.
  • Perform rack modifications, relocations, repairs, and teardown projects.
  • Safely load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Travel to customer locations throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in pallet rack installation, commercial construction, warehouse equipment installation, carpentry, steel erection, or related trades is a plus but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure 
  • Comfortable working at heights 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Forklift and scissor lift experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Valid drivers license with reliable transportation to our Columbia, PA location and/or directly to jobsites.
