Job description

You could be a Chief of Staff anywhere, why Pallet?

  • Join a well-funded, high-growth startup on the path to IPO ($50M raised, 700% revenue growth in 2 years, targeting a $6T market)
  • Work directly with our CEO Sushanth Raman on the most critical aspects of the business and help drive key decisions
  • Help transform a massive industry

About the opportunity

Pallet is at an inflection point. We have proof of concept with Fortune 1000 customers, a top-tier investor base, and a growing footprint - and we need someone to turn all of that latent leverage into compounding growth. This is not a strategy-deck role. It is a growth-generating role that sits at the center of Pallet's most important relationships: customers, investors, partners, and the next set of markets we go win.

You will report directly to the CEO, own how Pallet shows up in every senior room that matters, and be accountable for meaningfully accelerating growth in your first 90 days - through warm intros, investor leverage, advisory firepower, and new-market expansion. We are not hiring a relationship manager. We are hiring someone who can walk into a room with a C-suite executive, board member, or GP and leave with something tangible: a meeting, a referral, a partnership, a new lane.

How will you make an impact

  • Own the relationships with our cap table - General Catalyst, Bessemer, Bain Capital Ventures, Activant - and turn each into a steady source of portfolio-company intros, hiring leads, design partners, and market signal
  • Build the muscle that turns every happy Fortune 1000 customer into a source of referrals into their peer set
  • Stand up Pallet's advisory board from scratch - identify, recruit, and onboard 5-10 operators and industry leaders who unlock doors we can't open ourselves
  • Establish working relationships with the PE firms and VCs whose portfolios concentrate our buyer base, and convert that coverage into pipeline
  • Partner with the CEO to identify and break into adjacent verticals and new regions - sizing the opportunity, finding the first design partners, and building the go-to-market wedge
  • Own relationships with the AI labs, hyperscalers, and other ecosystem partners that put Pallet in front of the right buyers and unlock co-sell, co-marketing, and distribution
  • Build the sequencing, messaging, and targeting so this entire motion can scale beyond one person
  • Call out what's not working - on the team, in the process, in the product story - and say it plainly

Preferred experience

  • 3-8 years at a top-tier management consulting firm, VC, or Corp Dev function at a high-M&A-velocity company
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships from scratch with senior executives, investors, and board-level operators
  • The polish and pace to represent the CEO in any room: board meetings, partner dinners, LP intros, cold executive calls
  • A track record of generating something: pipeline, deals, partnerships, advisors, new markets - outcomes, not activity
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, changing priorities, and being told no before you find the yes

Location

  • San Francisco in office with travel 25-35%

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $175,000-$250,000, depending on experience and skill set. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity, benefits, and opportunities for growth. Final compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors, including experience, qualifications, and location.
