Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Pallet Sorting

  • Sort pallets as they are moved from loading docks to sort line/area.
  • Removes debris and trash from pallets
  • Determines which pallets may require repairs.
  • Lift and carry 77 lbs at least 33% of their work shift.
  • Push items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet.
  • Pull items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.

Position Purpose

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery essential to the pallet repair and assembly line production. This position will also be responsible for preparing tools and equipment for production and assembly line use, ensuring seamless operations, and maintaining a high level of efficiency. The Machine Operator will monitor equipment functionality, identify, and address minor jams, and report larger issues to the preventative maintenance team. The primary goal is to operate machinery safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the production process.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Familiarity with the operation and minor maintenance of production machinery.

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.

  • Previous experience operating a Bandsaw Machine or equivalent tool preferred.

  • Understanding of quality control procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

  • Excellent communication skills.
