Position Summary:
A Zone Material Controller is responsible for supporting material flow operations within an assigned area of the plant. This role includes moving materials to and from designated locations, presses, and work cells while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products and supplies. Materials may be stored in various containers including racks, gaylords, bins, skids, and other storage units.
Responsibilities:
  • Stack and unstack items stored in portable racks with walkie-stackie.
  • Use pallet or hand jack as needed to move items as required.
  • Utilize RF scanner to record product movement through the warehouse.
  • Create labels using computer software.
  • Inventory items either by weight count of smaller parts in bins or by hand count of larger parts on pallets or in racks.
  • Advise supervisor of any discrepancies in inventory.
  • Uphold housekeeping standards by keeping area clean and organized.
  • Support and comply with all Suncast safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping methods at all times.
  • Complete daily, pre-shift safety inspections on equipment.
  • Report any damage, safety concerns, or accidents immediately.
  • Follow company standard procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with RF scanner is a plus.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand, climb, reach, stoop, or kneel.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate with other workers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Must be able to pass a practical test on walkie-stackie operation to become certified to operate one.
  • Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.

Starting Pay: $17.00 hour plus shift differential. Wage increases after successfully completing 90 days.
