Job description

PRN Float Position

This PRN float position is based in our Palatka Medical Center and will provide coverage in Palatka, Interlachen, Crescent City, Keystone Heights, Hawthorne, and Green Cove Springs.

Position Responsibilities
  • Fills prescriptions accurately and efficiently using a computerized pharmacy system.
  • Follows all rules and regulations set by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
  • Assures adequate and unexpired medications are stocked, properly labeled and inventoried.
  • Conducts patient education/counseling necessary for pharmacotherapy.
  • Serves as preceptor for pharmacy interns.
  • Maintains inventory that is both cost effective and does not inconvenience patient.
  • Keeps medical staff informed and researches answers questions related to drug therapy in a timely fashion.
  • Supervises existing and new pharmacy staff on an ongoing basis that includes training and education.
