Job description

Role Description 

The Painting Contractors Salesman/Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Palm Beach, FL. This role is responsible for meeting with prospective and existing clients, assessing project requirements, and preparing detailed estimates for residential and commercial painting projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, measuring job sites, evaluating surfaces and coatings needs, and developing accurate proposals that align with company standards and client expectations. The role also involves building and maintaining client relationships, following up on leads, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with project managers and foremen to ensure smooth job start-up and execution. The Salesman/Estimator is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, finishes, and industry best practices, and to represent us professionally in all client interactions.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of paint products and their applications, including surface preparation and product selection.
  • Experience with painting and decorating, including understanding of color, finishes, and aesthetic design requirements.
  • Familiarity with coatings and protective systems for interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Hands-on or supervisory experience with painting and spray painting techniques in residential or commercial settings.
  • Proven experience in sales, estimating, or project management within the painting or construction industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications for accurate takeoffs and cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in proposals.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local job site visits.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or construction-related education is a plus.
